TITANIUM Motorsports - Homestead 2011 Grand-Am Race & Car Show
The Grand-Am Road Racing series made it's second stop of 2011 at Homestead-Miami Speedway on March 5th.
Buddy Hendricks was on hand as Crew Chief of the #36 Boss Mustang of Racers Edge Motorsports from DeLand Florida.
This was the car's first outing in the Continental Tire Challenge with the new Boss motor. The car arrived in Homestead around 3AM on Thursday after a late-night session to put in the new motor on Wednesday.
Once on track Thursday morning, they had multiple clutch problems and had to replace it two times. Next, the rear axle had a pinion bearing fail. And with Grand-Am closing the garages at sunset, Buddy had to call a local friend to take the axle to where he could work on it that night and get it back in the car the next morning for the race.
During the race, all was well for the first three-quarters, then a problem put them behind the wall. They finished 24th in class, 55th overall.

Besides the  Rolex and Continental Tire races, there was a big, judged, classic car show just outside the grandstands. I took a few pictures of ones that I liked.
What's Buddy looking at? (I turn around) Oh, now I see.
